Kaelyn Pavlos

I am an artist who likes traditional pencil drawings, but I am not shy from other media. Ever since I was little, I loved art. I would practice drawing my favorite characters from cartoons, video games, and movies. I always enjoyed my art classes through junior high, and high school. In 2012, I was a Senior Spotlight Artist at Metea Valley and won a Scholastic Silver Key Award for Poison Dart Frog. I pursued my undergraduate studies at North Central College. Even with different disciplines of study, I had always made an effort to continue to practice art.

I have been told that I should practice art, but I have many interests outside of it. Art is my escape from the everyday and an outlet for various emotions on the spectrum. No matter how I am feeling, creating art has always made me happier. And with my favorite animal being the owl, Happy Owl Art Gallery was created. 

After sketching cartoon-ish owls, I had created the very happy owl that graces this website portfolio, Olly. With his blue-knit hat and inked feathers, Olly has become the gallery's mascot. 

Happy Owl Art Gallery provides me a way to showcase my artwork, both past and future.
